This is a list of Navigating devices (scanners) that are available in the game (you can add more scanners to the category by using the Template:Scanner).
Scanners are used to navigate through the Astral.
Scanners consume Astral Emanations (
) every time their features are activated.
Every ship receives 100 when it is summoned to the hangar, which is the maximum it can store. When they are consumed, more emanations can be added to this reserve whenever the crew kills an Astral Demon (the amount depends on demon's difficulty).
More emanations are consumed in deeper layers of Astral (see below). If a feature needs more than 100, it will not be possible to activate (currently it only happens with Ethereal Veil).
Scanners can be found as loot in Iron sectors.
Features:
- Scan for Enemy Ships: scans for any ship in the same sector that is carrying at least 3 treasure chests
- Scan for Wormholes: scans for any Wormholes in the sector
- Scan for Small Allods: attempts to find a Small Allod in the sector, if there are any available
- Scan for Large Allods: attempts to find a Large Allod in the sector (Kania, Empire, or Isle of Revelation)
- Trace Route: displays the shortest route to the detected object
- Ethereal Veil: makes the ship invisible for 45 seconds, but disables all weapons. It works in combat, so it can be used to exit an allod safely. Apart from that, ships are automatically invisible for 10 seconds when they exit an allod.
