This is a list of Visor devices that are available in the game (you can add more visor types to the category by using the Template:Visor).
Visor operators can monitor the status of their own or enemy ships and demons, as well as perform important actions when a battle doesn't go as planned. They can also scan the hub to reveal any demons that are too far to be detected normally.
Visors have two modes, normal that shows the positions of the ships and demons, and Zoom-in (target) mode that shows the health status of all devices of the ship or the targeted enemy. Certain features can only be activated when the visor is zoomed-in on a demon or an enemy ship.
All features except Scan Hub require Astral Emanations () to be activated, while they also have separate cooldowns. The cooldowns of Visor features increase in deeper layers of Astral (double length in the second layer).
When choosing a Visor, it is usually preferable to take one with both Intense Cooling and Balance Shields features. Intense Cooling can be used to cool down the reactor when it is overheating, which can have disastrous consequences. Shield Boost is used when one of the shields has almost ran out of Power, and instantly restores it to full Power.
Visor features usualy require excellent teamwork and timing to work properly. If Intense Cooling is not activated fast enough, the reactor will shut down, and the visor features will no longer work, since the Visors require energy to operate. When using Shield Boost, the Visor operator should be communicating with players that are responsible for shield repairs - if they both try to repair the same shield, they will waste emanations and energy.
Visors can be found as loot in Copper sectors.
Characteristics:
- Strength: durability (hitpoints) of the device
- Weight: weight of the device (affects the speed of the ship)
Possible Features:
- Scan Hub: scans the hub for demons or ships, briefly highlighting the locations of demons beyond the regular detection range. It doesn't consume energy, contrary to what the tooltip description says. Available on all Visors.
- Diversionary Shot (20): paralyzes an astral demon, or disables the reactor on an enemy ship (90 seconds cooldown). Requires target.
- Sharp Turn (15): quickly turns the ship 180o (1 minute cooldown). This feature was originally created for testing purposes, though later the developers decided to leave it in the game.
- Energy Discharge (50): decreases health of an Astral Demon by 30% (5 minutes cooldown). Requires target.
- Energy Outbreak (60): inflicts damage to 6 demons in 400 yard radius (5 minutes cooldown). Damage increases with higher generation Visors.
- Local Jump (75): teleports the ship to a position within 300 meters of the target (5 minutes cooldown). 400 yard range. Requires target.
