There are many different levels of quality that an item can have. The higher quality the item is, the more powerful it will make you. The quality of an item can be determined from the color text the item’s name is written in.
- Poor
Poor items are written in gray and have no true use in the game. Common pieces of equipment typically have no stats. Poor items are usually dropped by monsters.
- Common
Common items are written in white and are higher quality than poor items. Common pieces of equipment typically have very few stats. Common items are usually sold by vendors or used for crafting low quality goods. Another common type of common item is a quest item which is used to complete or start a quest.
- Uncommon
Uncommon items are written in green and are higher quality than common items. Uncommon pieces of equipment typically have a moderate number of stats. Uncommon items are usually dropped by monsters, received from completing quests, or used for crafting medium quality goods. They are also sometimes sold by reputation quartermasters.
- Rare
Rare items are written in blue and are higher quality than uncommon items. Rare pieces of equipment typically have a high amount of stats. Rare items are dropped by bosses, received from completing difficult quests, or used for crafting high quality goods. They are also frequently sold by reputation quartermasters and Combat Glory quartermasters.
- Epic
Epic items are written in purple and are higher quality than rare items. Epic pieces of equipment typically have a very high amount of stats. Epic items are dropped by bosses in raids, heroic dungeons, and the Astral, or used for crafting very high quality goods. They are also sometimes sold by reputation quartermasters.
- Legendary
Legendary items are written in orange and are higher quality than epic items. Legendary pieces of equipment typically have an extremely high amount of stats. Legendary items are dropped by bosses in raids and the Astral.
